The HIPATIA consortium together with the European Commission and PSA representatives met in Madrid last 16th-17th February to close the HIPATIA project with its Final Presentation. During the first day the meeting was host by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, partner in charge of modelling activities and testing of the different prototypes developed along the project. All the participants had the opportunity to attend to a demo of the HIPATIA System coupling test in the Space Propulsion Laboratory, involving the latest developments for all the units “RFGPU, PFCU and TU”, which have been matured thanks to the intense work carried out along the project. In the second day, SENER Aeroespacial, coordinator of the project, hosted the team at their premises in Tres Cantos (Madrid).
“It has been a long and exciting journey for all the participants in the project, with many technical achievements, and a much better comprehension of Helicon plasmas.”
