Last week, from June 19th to June 23rd, the 37th International Electric Propulsion Conference took place in Boston (MA, USA), hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It was a great opportunity to meet again our colleagues after the COVID19 pandemic, with an intense week full of interesting meetings and fruitful technical
discussions. HIPATIA team was represented by Mrs. Mercedes Ruiz (SENER Aereospacial) presenting “Results of the first Helicon Plasma Thruster (HPT) coupling test campaign within the HIPATIA project”, Dr. Navarro Cavallé (UC3M) presenting “Direct Thrust Measurements of the HIPATIA System Thruster Unit”, Mr. Pedro Jimenez (UC3M) presenting “Numerical Simulations of the Discharge and the Plasma-wave Interaction in a Helicon Plasma Thruster”, and Mr. Alfio Vinci (CNRS), presenting “Probing xenon atoms and ions velocity in the magnetic nozzle of a helicon plasma thruster”.
